Ovenware of "Le Ceramiche dei Dogi" are handmade, as the culinary tradition and quality research in baking require. They are still produced as before: by casting plaster molds of the slip composed of feldspar, quartz and kaolin.This method allows for a greater thickness and weight that determines a double heat retention and better thermal shock resistance, superior resistance to chipping determined by shocks and, thanks to the Limoges vitrification, the enamel is resistant to abrasion, determined by the use of inappropriate tools, maintaining always a white, pearly and bright background.
